Cookie Dough

He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because he delighted in me. psalm 18:19

i remember begging my mom to lick the spoon when she would make chocolate chip cookies. i am also the person that wants her cookies as chewy and doughy as possible. when i bake cookies, i definitely eat more dough than i should and it hit me…why not make an edible cookie dough? this is now my sweet girl’s favorite treat and i can definitely see why. i love the versatility of this recipe, because if you hate chocolate, put some sprinkles or white chocolate chips! I also love using this recipe as a filling for a vanilla or almond butter cake! this is the ultimate treat and can be used for any occasion!

don’t be like me….or do…i make this and have some on hand in our fridge for a quick sweet treat and kate definitely loves to have a small bowl for dessert too! this will become one of your staple desserts and is definitely one of my best selling treats! Mini chocolate chips are way better in this to me and i have a chocolate hating husband who loves sprinkles in his!

alternatives

if you run out of GF AP Flour, grab and blend some almond and sorghum or even some oat flour! Oat flour is so easy to make if you have some oats on hand and a blender or food processor. If you don’t have df heavy whipping cream i highly suggest extra creamy oat milk! it’s the closest thing you can use.

steps

as always, if your butter isn’t at room temperature microwave it for 18 seconds! and then you’ll do the craziest thing…microwave your flour for 45 seconds up to a minute until it reads a temperature of 165 degrees. this makes sure you don’t have a floury taste!

Next you’ll want to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add heavy whipping cream and continue to mix on high and add salt and vanilla. Add flour and mix. Fold in chocolate chips.

i put it in a container to store until we’re ready to scoop and eat!
